This guy was sitting on our neighbours roof calling away. They have a nest in the trees in the neighbours yard and we hear them calling so often but rarely see them so this was a wonderful opportunity to get a picture.

Today was quite busy

I slept a bit later than usual this morning knowing that when I did get up I was going to finish packing up the teapots to send them off in the post tomorrow. I sat down at the computer to have a look at a few things and suprise suprise - a sale came through from my Etsy shop. I was so pleased, I had just started feeling unloved and unwanted - so the sale made me feel better LOL.
Now I have a necklace going to New York - exciting.

I have made some progress

I managed to get going at last. The teapots look so cute, I want to keep them all. I love little flowers so most of them have little flowers. There are a few with dots and leaves - can not put flowers on everything, I suppose. I am hoping to get them varnished on saturday afternoon and they should be ready to be sent off to their new home on monday.

I get to play with clay

I am thrilled - I got an order for 15 teapots. I have free reign over the colours too which is rather nice. I love any excuse to get the clay out and make beads and charms. The only problem then is that I have a difficult time packing it all away again so that I can make jewellery with other beads. We have a craft market coming up this weekend so I will have to make a few more items before friday. Winter is so quiet at the markets that it is hardly worth all the effort of loading the car and leaving early in the freezing cold morning air - I am not looking forward to it - can you tell?

I wanted to use shells and pearls

Today I decided that I wanted to make something with shells and pearls in shades of brown. I ended up with a bracelet similar to one that I have made before - its and oldie but a goody!

I made this necklace a few days ago and I love it. There is nothing quite as elegant and beautiful as crystals and pearls from Swarovski .

It is such a pity that I have to part with my creations but I could never wear everything anyway and it gives me such a great feeling when someone else is willing to part with their hard earned money to buy something that I have made.

Where did the day go?

This morning when I woke up I had planned to make a really beautiful necklace full of crystals and bling. Now it is 8 pm and no necklace! I rushed off to post a parcel - took Mimi to the vet - went to the bank - had lunch - went to the shop - got stuff sorted out online and then it was dark already. Phew - exhausting....lol.
Mimi got a catnip toy and it really brought the kitten out in the old lady - she was rolling around on the floor and drooling - it was so cute. Well maybe after a good nights sleep I will get the necklace made tomorrow.....mmm - we will see.

My Etsy Shop

I have been so busy getting the shop ready. It has been so exciting and a bit scary at the same time. I am sure that it will get easier as I go along.
